- VIntage Hank, Jr.
I love this album!! It's one of my favorites by Hank, Jr. Highly recommend it to Hank Williams, Jr fans.
- great.
I loved this album. My friend had it years ago and we wore out the tape in his truck. I was glad to get it and go drive around on some back roads.
- Country State of Mind
"Country State of Mind" is my favorite song ever. It is the first song on this CD. I can listen to it over and over. I love both the words and the music. It is about being in the country and fishing. Lots of Hank Jr.'s songs are about the country, and that's one reason why I like his songs so much.

- a song I like and some issues
Hank Williams, Jr. has done some songs I really like. His attempt to include Harvest Moon in a medley on the album Montana Cafe has a few individual touches that remind me Hank Williams, Jr. does his songs like nobody else, but I don't get thrilled now like I used to. What I am really upset about is being fat. Montana Cafe has a song, Fat Friends, that makes me feel like people would not like my opinions if they knew me because I weigh so much. The basic issue of You Can't Judge A Book (By Looking At the Cover) is close to why my reviews are so unhelpful. Instead of talking about quality in entertainment values, I keep complaining that our entertainment values have made the United States of America as a fat friend that shops but does not comprehend how we won't have money anymore after the electricity gets shut off. The song I really like, Country State of Mind, is the only hope anyone has for survival skills that can catch a fish after the global food industrialization chokes when it gets strangled by transportation problems or the fecklessness of speculation on what anybody can afford when insurance premiums take wages that don't even show up in paychecks. Hank stole something for the song My Name Is Bocephus. Our ideas all came from somebody else. Nobody is expected to say anything new and different because people don't understand the way things are now, and any change just turns out to be more frightening. I should stop before I try to explain:
My Girl Don't Like My Cowboy Hat
but the cowperson hat in the last verse takes the cake.

This is some Hank Jr. best work. It got it all, from ballads, to western swing.
