- I must admit--this is a classic.
Okay, I'll admit: Hank pissed me off with the whole Palen-McCain Tradition debacle a couple years ago. In fact, I took a looong timeout from listening to Hank because of that. But ROWDY is just too good to ignore. This was the first album that I actually wanted to BUY as a kid. I heard "Dixie On My Mind" on a local country station and couldn't get it off my mind. This was the kind of album that you'd listen to the whole thing--there really are no weak songs on this one.
My personal favorite: "Footlights", a Merle Haggard tune.

2 SONGS - "Ain't Much More and "Are You Sure Hank Done it This Way?" are worth the price of this CD! "Ain't Much More" with it's New Orleans jazz horns and lyrics will make you smile. But beware,... the guitars on "Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way" will make you push your accelerator clean through the floorboard if you happen to be driving while listening!!!! HIGHLY addictive!
You'll be hitting the repeat over and over.
