- John Denver & the Muppets: A Christmas Together
The first CD is a collection of beautiful songs John recorded with the Muppets for a Christmas special in the late '70s. It's full of carols you love and ones you soon will. This is one of the most touching Christmas albums of all time and it stays in my CD player from Thanksgiving Day until at least New Year's. It's the perfect family Christmas CD. - Two CDs - Available Separately Too
I didn't realize that this was a collection of two CDs which are both also still available. It includes John Denver with the Muppets and Christmas Like a Lullaby...so don't buy those titles along with this one!!! - Word of Warning to Muppets Fans
Despite all the positive reviews from the people who praise the muppets album included in this box set, be forwarned that if you are getting this box set for the Muppets album because it says it has the un-edited version.... Its not true! I was quite disappointed to get this and it is missing some of the best songs (like little st nick!), despite the actual box saying it does. Inside is still the laserlight CUT CD. - Splendid!
The beauty of this album is that for the price of one (inexpensive) CD, you get two. The Muppets Album is absolutely charming, a must-have! The other CD, Christmas Like a Lullaby, features traditional carols sung in Denver's soft style. The best of both worlds--I couldn't recommend this album more. Once you've owned this set, Christmas will be so much merrier! |
